the leftclick on my optical mouse doesnt work! rightclick & pointer movement work fine...what should i do?

I'd venture an well-read guess and say you a moment ago broke your mouse. The left-click is the most commonly used button on the mouse, and likewise the most prone to breaking down due to innate wear and tear. Buy a clean mouse.

If you need to buy yourself a few extra days until you bring a new one, you can travel into your computer's mouse settings and swap the functions of the left and right buttons. That agency you can use your right button instead of the left one, allowing you to at most minuscule get some deep functionality out of the device before you replace it.

Edit: If you're notion particularly savvy, you can lug a small screwdriver and open your mouse up. Clean out adjectives the dust and put it back together. It occured to me that it's possible a chunk of lint contained by the right place can prevent the button from properly clicking. But I'm still leaning towards a moment ago replacing the mouse.
First thing you should try is to reboot your computer. A reboot have solved the problem for me everytime.
mine did the same article a few weeks ago but it was a cordless optical mouse. i concluded up getting mad and smashed it on the floor and go out to walmart and bought a new corded optical mouse for merely $15.
Try the reboot but you probably need a bright mouse. They're getting pretty cheap and you can pick them up all over the place. I've spotted label brand optical mice for under ten dollars at Dollar General and Big Lots.
