Tiny things on bottom of processor?

First, what are those tiny gold ingots things called at the bottom of a processor chip, or cpu? Also, my pentium 4 is missing only one of those little things out of like the couple hundred of them, could it still work?

Tiny things on bottom of processor?

the pins that connect the cpu to the motherbord and it depends what pin it is.
Those are the pins used to form the processor into the motherboard - Usually the upper corner is missing - if a pin is broke - it may work?
Hi, those pins are connections (basically like wires), they connect the chip to everything else and if your missing one or two it -might- work but I really doubt it'll work properly (depends on what the pins be, but it'll definitly affect something).

Your best bet is to bin it and get a latest one im afraid!

If your lucky it might have be the high address pins which resources it'll work if u only use 512mb memory or so but ud be really lucky if it worked
Pins? what nice of processor do you have my Intel 775 socket is a BGA globe grid array. any damage to the pin nouns side may spell bad Carma for you.
