thermal smooth mixture?

what is the thermal soft mass for and why do we put it on cpu or gpu?

thermal smooth mixture?

Without the paste a microscopic space exists between the two knotty surfaces and is filled beside air which is a poor conductor for warmth. The paste is a obedient conductor and helps verbs the heat from the chip to the warmth sink (cooling fins). Think of it this way, return with a really hot piece of metal and stick your index finger close to, but not touching it. That is the chip and heat sink minus paste. Now touch it....

It help with roast transfer from the CPU, to the heatsink, where on earth the fans removes the bake, so your CPU doesn't burn out.
