My internal cd rom on my workstation just wouldn't work. I go and bought a new one... it is a dvd rw rewritter and presently that one will not work. What could it be? It Must be my pc... But what is it i should try that may fashion it work? I am very frustrated. Thanks for your oblige.

Typically, your computer should have said it found exotic hardware! If not, go into the control , get underway System, click on Hardware, then Device Manager. A roll of all your hardware should appear! If nearby is a yellow interrogate mark subsequent to DVD/CD Rom, then you know for sure the computer does not certify it period! Exit this, later go wager on to the control panel then choose Add Hardware! Let the wizard try to find it! If you still hold no luck, there may be impolite installation! Windows will typically search for a driver for it once it is conventional! Re- check all your connections , later restart the computer! Assuming you have two drives, you should check the jumper on each. One should be dotted "Master", and the other as "Slave". If they're not set up correctly, Windows probably won't recognize one, or possibly both. A well brought-up reference can be found at the below knit.
