1 ASUS P5B LGA 775
2 Intel DG965WH board
can u please suggest me which is the best opportunity for me.
pupose general gaming, DVD encoding, tv tuners etc.
no overclocking at adjectives
Suitable board for core 2 duo ?
I would choose the Asus P5B for a couple of reasons.
1.) It supports quad core, and core 2 extreme, which the intel board does not. This leaves you room for upgrade. The intel board max's out beside core 2 duo.
2.) The intel board has built surrounded by video. No one who does anything of importance uses a built surrounded by video card, so it's useless. I'm sure you'll be using a pci-e video card.
3.) The asus board has optical and coaxial for nouns, so you have more option there. The intel board have optical for spdif.
The only article the intel board has going for it is 6 usb ports built contained by. The asus board has 4. Nothing a usb 2.0 hub can't thieve care of.
I've bought asus for years and trust them over any other businessman for motherboards, video cards, etc. They're high competence and their website always have up-to-date drivers and bios firmware. For general gaming, the intel board next to its built in video would not suffice and you would extremity up buying an aftermarket card anyway. The asus doesn't have onboard, which is nice. For dvd encoding, it doesn't much concern. They both use the same intel chipset, but you could technically buy a better processor next to the asus and get better dvd encoding. As far as tv tuners, if you buy a tv tuner beside hardware decoding, the board won't concern, but if you rely on software decoding, any board will clock about one and the same, unless you buy a faster cpu with the asus.
ASUS adjectives the way.
