My up to date graphics card has an s-video port but my standard s video cable won't work. Do i want a special kind?
s-video cable?
There is a 4 and 7 pin cable, you obligation to make sure you enjoy the right one.
The 4-pin mini-DIN connectors seem to be adjectives on TVs, VCRs, and DVD players. The 7-pin quasi-DIN connectors seem to be more adjectives on computers. The usage of the non-standard pins (5, 6, and 7) may vary from one capitalist to another, but the pin assignment shown above seems to be the most adjectives.
A 4-pin male mini-DIN connector will plug into the 7-pin quasi-DIN socket. For example, if you want to display video from your laptop (7-pin quasi-DIN) to your TV (4-pin), this is possible if a 4-pin mini-DIN S-Video patch cable is used.
